Open For Business
Ok so I am in my second month of teaching 3rd grade. I am also at my second school, and its COMPLETELY different from my first school! We are talking total 180 here. So I am changing my behavior management plan. I've decided I'm going to start paying my kids! :) That's right they are going to get "bucks" that they can spend at our little classroom store (thank goodness for the dollar store!) Now the catch is that they have to pay me when they don't follow the rules! (insert evil laugh here) So the next time one of my little angels gets out of their seats without asking or shouts out an answer without raising their hand, or forgets their homework they have to give me their money :) I'm kind of curious to see if this works. I'll keep everyone posted. PS What the heck is a "webkinz" and are they expensive? My kids want them for our store.

I think the bucks idea is really great. It sounds like you are doing wonderfully. It's all about outsmarting kids (even toddlers) to get what you want he he.
I use the buck system in my 2nd grade classroom too, it works pretty well, you just have to be super consistent. I hope you have a good class this year! Thanks for the link to your blog :) Mine is chrisandhatsuho.blogspot.com
